Roomorama vs Airbnb
Roomorama vs Airbnb - what's the difference between these two sites?
Both sites offer private vacation rentals, often cheaper than hotels and motels in the same area. Both services are free to use for travelers and hosts. I've used both services and here is my experience.

Roomorama vs Airbnb - customer service
Both the Airbnb customer service and the Roomorama customer service can be reached 24/7. Bot sites have a chat function, but they seem to be operate only a few hours a day.
Roomorama vs Airbnb - number of bookings:
I'm renting out two apartments full time, meaning I'm fully booked in average 27 days a month. During 2015 I received in total 650 bookings, 40% from Airbnb, 20% from Wimdu, 20% from Flipkey by Tripadvisor and 20% from other sites such as Roomorama, Homestay and Rentalo. During 2015 I only had 8 bookings from Roomorama, meaning less than 1,5 % of the bookings came from Roomorama.
Roomorama vs Airbnb - affiliate programmes
I've used both the Roomorama and the Airbnb affiliate programme. The Airbnb affiliate programme was replaced by a refer a friend program whereas the Roomorama affiliate programme is still in operation. If you refer people to Roomorama you can earn money both when people rent out and when they rent a place.
Further differences between Roomorama and Airbnb:

- Airbnb has Facebook, LinkedIn, Twitter, Photo and address verification, Roomorama does not.
- Airbnb provide free photographer service, Roomorama does not.
- At Roomororama guests can take advantage of local deals and perks, this is not yet a feature at Airbnb
