I'm running a successful rental business, and I'd like to share my experience
Below I'm telling you how you can earn some extra money on things you have, and believe me, almost anyone can get started. Just follow the simple steps below:
Step 1 - get started. Find something of value for travellers in your area
1000's of people are earning money on their guest rooms and empty flats / houses
Find something you can rent out. It can be literally anything, a spare room, a flat, a house, your bike a part of your garden for putting up a tent, a bike, a storage room, a cabin and many other things. Only the imagination sets the limit. You can even earn money by renting out your private apartment or room while you're on holiday ! Personally, I think it's great to get paid while travelling ! You can read more about how I get paid for travelling here.
Did you know that property owners renting out their guest rooms and empty flats earn in average $26 000 a year?
Step 2 - advertise your properties for free
Once you've found an object you can rent out, sign up with as many free rental broker websites you can. These sites will be your main way of getting in contact with potential customers. They will take care of the marketing of your properties, collection of payment up front and some even offer insurance. When you set the price of your property, do some research to find the price level of similar properties in your area. If there is a lot of competition, set you price a little lower than the others at the beginning, and when you receive more renters and good reviews, you may increase the price gradually.
Here are some of the free services I'm using:
